SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Dr. Robert Danaher is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Oklahoma (OK 799) and a Health Service Psychologist. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Oklahoma Psychological Association and he has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. Dr. Danaher maintains a Certificate of Professional Qualifications (CPQ 4077) through the Association of State and Provincial Boards of Professional Psychologist (ASPPB).

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

1994: Psy.D. Forest Institute of Professional Psychology (American Psychological Association accredited).

1994: Completed residency training through the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services in the State of Oklahoma.

1990: M.Ed. in Community Counseling, University of Oklahoma.

1985: B.A. in Psychology, University of Central Oklahoma.

HONORS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Dr. Danaher was awarded the Everett E. Cook award and the Steve Garrett Memorial Scholarship as a UCO undergraduate.

EXPERIENCE – Forensics

From 1994, until retirement in 2014, Dr. Danaher was a Staff Psychologist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Danaher has been responsible for providing counseling, assessments, and crisis intervention services to a diverse population of incarcerated offenders. This work required that he write reports for use within the federal judicial system.

As a private practitioner, Dr. Danaher has developed and maintained a practice focused on clinical assessments related to forensic matters. Since its inception Dr. Danaher has completed hundreds of psychological evaluations each year. Dr. Danaher has performed over 300 evaluations of parental competency both for the courts and human service agencies. He has experience evaluating patients regarding numerous issues such as: violence risk assessment, malingering, substance abuse, domestic violence, competency to manage funds, divorce child custody, pre-adoption evaluations, and CLEET evaluations for law enforcement. Dr. Danaher has been admitted as an expert witness in numerous courtroom settings and has experience providing testimony before judges and juries.

EXPERIENCE – As an Educator

Dr. Danaher has frequently taught classes on various topics including Suicide Risk Assessment, Ethics and Risk Management. Dr. Danaher has taught courses for continuing education credits for professionals including Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors.

EXPERIENCE – As a Counselor (1985 – 1994)

Dr. Danaher worked in various positions including; Youth and Family Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. Dr. Danaher has extensive experience working with children, providing family counseling services and providing individual counseling services. He has worked in settings including: a state mental hospital, community counseling center, a private hospital and a private office with another practitioner.
